For Tradespeople

Good work, Paid Properly, On Time.

We run approvals, design, costing and site supervision for property owners across Edo State. That means real projects that need painting, electrical, plumbing, tiling and finishing trades. We subcontract those packages in writing, we pay on milestones, and you never have to chase a client for your own money.

How It Works

Four Steps, No Guesswork

The same process every time, for every trade. You always know where a project stands and what you are owed.

01

Apply

Send your trade, areas, rates and photos of recent work. Five minutes, no cost, no commitment.

02

We Vet

We check your references and visit a live or completed site. We would rather be strict early than apologise later on a client project.

03

You Get Called

When a project in your trade needs cover, you receive a written scope, a schedule and agreed payment terms.

04

You Get Paid

Work is paid in milestones against sign-off. No deductions, no delays, no arguing about the final invoice.

Working Standards

What You Can Expect From Us

Most tradespeople in this industry get paid late, blamed for someone else's scope, and asked to fund materials. Here is the deal instead.

Written scope, every time

Every package of work is issued in writing with quantities, schedule and payment terms before anyone lifts a tool. Verbal agreements do not exist on our sites.

Milestone payments

Payment follows sign-off of the completed stage. We do not ask for full payment upfront, and we do not make tradespeople finance our clients.

Our accountability, honestly

The client holds VETONGROUP responsible for the finished result, including the trades we subcontract. That is a commercial arrangement, not charity: you are paid properly because we carry the risk.

One point of contact

You never chase your own payment, and you never argue with a client. One project manager, one scope, one schedule.

Referral Programme

Already Talking To Property Owners?

You are. A painter or electrician hears more about upcoming projects than any advertising could buy. Refer them to us and you are paid when they pay.

Fixed

A flat fee agreed in writing before the project starts. Not a vague percentage decided after the fact.

Paid

Once your referral's invoice is settled. You are never chasing a client for money that is not ours.

Ongoing

A client you introduced keeps referring. The relationship compounds, and so does the fee.

How referrals are handled. You send the name and number, we contact them and take over from there. You never quote our services, never negotiate our fees, and never carry a project you referred. If the work is not a fit, we tell them so and refer them to someone suitable.

FAQs

Questions Tradespeople Ask First

Do I need to be registered to apply?

No. Many of the tradespeople we work with operate as registered businesses, and some are sole proprietors who have not yet formalised. CAC registration is requested as optional. What matters is verifiable work, honest pricing, and a track record you can let us check.

What does "no unpaid speculative work" mean?

We do not ask tradespeople to price, source, or prepare a project without a written instruction, because that is unpaid work wearing a collaboration label. Once a trade package is issued to you in writing, with scope and payment terms, that is a paid engagement from day one.

How does the referral arrangement work?

If someone you refer to us becomes a paying client, you receive a fixed referral fee, paid once that client has settled their invoice. Referral fees are paid per completed project, not per lead handed over. The exact rate is confirmed in writing before we start working with anyone you introduced.

Will I deal directly with your clients?

No. VETONGROUP holds the client relationship, manages the scope, and takes responsibility for the work on site. That is the service the client is paying for, and it is why subcontracting to us is more reliable than chasing clients yourself.

How quickly do you respond?

Every complete application is reviewed within 3 business days. If your trade is currently in demand and your details check out, we will invite you to a site visit before any work is offered.

What happens if you have no current work for me?

Nothing happens, and nothing is owed. We keep verified tradespeople on record and come back to you when a project in your trade comes through. There is no fee to be listed.
